In the world of equity investing, it’s the art of buying at a substantial discount to an asset’s “intrinsic value” when a company has fallen into disfavor; and then waiting for the rest of the market to recognize its true value. Our approach to investing in stocks is to look at the stock as if we were buying the entire company. We focus on the future productivity of the company, its cash flow and net earnings. We’re looking for companies that have a durable competitive advantage in their industry. The company must have a franchise and favorable long-term prospects. Using our proprietary financial models, we seek to make a reasonable prediction of its future earnings and use that to determine the company’s intrinsic value. Once we determine that value, we seek to purchase the company’s stock at a significant discount to its intrinsic value.

The firm manages two funds. Our flagship fund is a long value oriented investment fund. We’ve also created a global trends fund to take advantage of opportunities presented by national and global economic trends. Both funds are currently in their beta testing phases and are not open to outside investors. When the beta testing phase is successfully completed, both funds will be opened to accredited investors.
